I had a total thyroidectomy 3 weeks ago and am getting cytomel but no thyroid medication. I don't know why. I feel so fatigued and bloated. Am I not supposed to be getting synthroid or something? Also I am craving salt. Can anybody share the medical treatment they got right after thyroidectomy and why? I have not been able to get through to my endocrinologist and his nurse keeps saying "they will call me when my pathology comes back". My surgeon said it already came back and I have thyroid cancer in my lymph nodes. And is it crazy that I am way more worried about weight gain then I am about cancer?

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
