I have had 3 surgeries to remove a tumor and inflamed lymphnodes. After the first and second surgs. I have had PET scans, showing I had nothing, no tumors or unhappy lymphnodes. It was only after the thyroids scans, that stuff showed up. It made me think that after being free of tumors (so to speak), it was strange that I grew new ones in a matter of weeks. After the second surgery, I had a thyroid scan (that showed nothing), a PET scan (that showed nothing), and then a thyroid scan that showed more hot spots (or whatever you would call them on a thyroid scan). I'll get to the point: I think the radioactive contrast used in the PET scan is making my lymphnodes go crazy.... Has anyone else had this happen? Or is it just me? Or is my brain frying and I'm just misreading a different symtom of my Pap-Carc?

I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
I am not clear on all of this because in my recent round of treatment it was 1st seen on PET scan on the left side of the neck only. Now after a round of RAI they have found it on uptake on both sides of the neck, in the Thyroid bed and in my chest. I am waiting to see what they want to do next.
Good Luck.
