I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. I had thyroid cancer and was told I most likely carried it with me for over two decades before it was diagnosed. I delivered two completely healthy children during those years and they are now 19 and 15 and have had no ill effects of my disease. You only indicate that your wife's levels are not correct and I in no way want to scare you that she too could have what I did but I wanted you to understand that even in the "worse" case scenario, healthy children can be born.
Please make sure you ask your doctor any and all questions you can think of. And more importantly, make sure you are comfortable with the answers you get. If you aren't, make them explain it again and if in anyway you are not comfortable with your medical team, find a new one!
I wish you the best and I hope this turns out to be a simple case of getting her levels on track and all will progress well.
