Just what I need, something else to stress me out! (Don't worry I am taking it in stride and just praying and not letting myself get too worked up) My step-mom (whom is DEFINTLEY a second mom to me) was taken to the hospital about a week and a half ago with what they thought was pneumonia. Things have seemed to get worse and worse since she got there. She is losing blood and they can not figure out where. They checked and it is not internal bleeding but she had to have two pints of blood transfusion yesterday. Also, her blood sugar is very high and they have her on insulin which has never been a problem for her before. She is on oxygen 24/7 because as soon as she gets up to walk around the oxygen levels in her blood drop to very low levels. Now her lymph nodes are swollen and she is coughing up blood. They can not check for cancer yet because the pneumonia will cover any signs of cancer. As the doctor explained it, her lung is like a piece of wood, if you throw ink on the wood you can still see the ink, (the ink being the cancer) but if you throw mud over the ink you can no longer see the ink (the mud being the pneumonia) so we have to wait for the pneumonia to clear up to get the tests for cancer done. She was a smoker for many many years... and she is in her late 60's so this is a scary situation. Her name is Conne, please pray for her and I will keep you all updated.

I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
