In WA over the years it seems to get colder and colder, I remember when I was little Perth always seemed to be a hot climate. Our winters are colder and thru-out autumn and spring we always have rain...right now in November its been very cold in the mornings with rain at night then it gets up to almost 30 around the middle of the day. Weird changing seasons like Melbourne weather.

We have not had a drop of rain to speak of here in SA, so I say no the drought is far from over. Can you tell me if any of that water is making it to the Murray?

We have had a good drop of rain here northern NSW..but a lot of the rain inland is too much and at the wrong time for some farmers....weather has been extremely weird...today the first day of summer is more a normal summer day

Sorry, no idea where the catchment areas start for our murray river system. Know it was in a very desperate situation. So much of it just dry sand and grass.

I hate to "drop terms" but isnt australia ue for an El Nina? That would bring rain.. perhap, just perhaps we may be verging on an El Nina sort of year or two? Here's hoping. Just to clarify, it was Hail here not snow WA rarely if ever gets snow, but it was heavy heavy hail size of cricket balls, literally. It hapened about 50kms north of where I live and I was talking to one of the farmers the other day who had to rescue about three hundred sheep on a jetski one by one wth the help of some of the nearby farmers.

Thats what I love about Australia - when in a crisi, everyone digs in and lends a hand. Mateship is hard to beat.

the murry rive \darling sistem starts in queesland some were and finnishes in s.a and things are looking bad as i am near the end of the rive murry and i hope the drought ends soon but it dose not look that way

That's the Aussie spirit isn't it lasthopem, it's hard to beat. I was in Port Lincoln when Black Tuesday bushfire happened and what happened after with strangers helping strangers will live with me forever. I'm so proud to be an Aussie.

We do seem to have a unique mateship here. All there when needed. Know other countries do too of course, just seems to be a different bond here.Maybe every country feels just the same about their own.

Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, we wont ALL ever get along, because we are individuals with individual likes and dislikes, but its the digging in and supporting each other through stuff the best we can that begets the best kind of mateship. Sorry its off topic, just a random thought.

We have the best togethernes in any armed force in the world still.
