possible discharge due to Syringomylia
I was just recently diagnosed with Syringomylia and have been notified I am on the medical board. Anyone have an idea what my chances are on being discharged?

Hey I just got diagnosed with syringomylia and it has been a nightmare.Chronic pain in my thoracic area, my right hand is hurting, my left foot is numb, twitching of my eye and loss of balance. The doctors said the surgery to fix the syrinx is not going to help me it would make matters worse. I am on nerve and pain meds but there got to be some kind of treatment out there?

I had to have a lung biopsy, and I have cancer. A very rare form that doesn't have any standard treatment. There just isn't a lot of case history for this. It is epithelioid hemangio endothelioma. The cancer support group doesn't talk every day. I can understand why. I'm waiting for the oncologist to call back for an appointment, and will hear in the next few days. Who knew. Ha!
