I was wondering if anyone else was splashed all over the front page of the newspaper? I know that we sure were.
The headline stated "foul play not suspected in infants death sunday" followed by an article containing our full names, ages, and the fact that she had been in bed with her father that I was the one that had come home and found her.
I had to call the newspaper on the morning of her funeral to find out if they had run a follow up article and/or were planning to. They claimed that they hadn't gotten the autopsy results from the sheriff's office yet. I had gotten them on tuesday and this was thursday morning.
I very politely informed him that it would be in the newspapers best interest to pring a follow up article of the same size on the front page since thats where the original article had been printed. I also then very politely informed him that I hoped for his sake if he ever lost a child it wasn't published all over the front page of the newspaper.
I now refuse to buy or read our local paper. I thought it was tacky and done in poor taste.
I was just wondering if anyone else had had to deal with this.

OH my god, I'm so sorry. I'm just dealing with the police as they keep interrogating me on Nathan. But nothing has been public. I'm so sorry

i cannot imagine what that would be like. my son was not under my care when he died but the police and CPS certainly did their fair share of investigations. i would like to get the address of that newspaper and write them a letter myself. it's ridiculous that they would even write an article like that. i'm so sorry.

I am stunned that in this day and age something like this would happen. I was less than pleased with how the police reacted, but we had no press coverage. I am so deeply sorry you had to go through that.

I am appalled that they did this to you. It was horrible enough with the police even though they were just doing their jobs. I am so sorry you had to go through that. Did they print the follow up as requested?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
