42 years old, diagnosed 3 days with having had a stroke, don't know what kind. At the time it happened, I didn't know it was happening. Only when I went back to work and had trouble typing that I visited my doctor. He immediately sent me to ER where I had all sorts of blood work and a CAT scan. I've just started an aspirin regimen of 325 mg/day. Had a carotoid doppler performed yesterday and suppose I will hear from the doctor on the results. Other than a bit of clumsiness in my fingers, I feel really good. Am I one of the lucky ones? Will changing my lifestyle and habits prevent another one? Would it be advisable to wear a medic alert bracelet? Thanks to everyone who replies.
