I am new in a position. Been there for a month. Started taking my meds about the same time.
The girl is sitting in front of me in the office. She is my immediate supervisor. She is a real stress ball. She has been in her position for over 2 months. She is always complaining about absolutely everything. Her life, the company, the boss, ... Plus she keeps talking to me about everything or asking me questions every minute, and it is very disrupting for me. I lose where I am in my work, plus I get stressed out. I try to meditate and go to my happy place to relax, but it's hard.
How can I tell her to relax a little and stop complaining all the time. If you are not happy well do something about it.
I am the new girl there, but I know that the direction really like me. Because I am good at what I do and I help them a lot, and got them out of problems a lot since I started there.
I sometimes even think, that in a while, she might be fired (they already warned her about a few things, and she is under probation) and I might inherit her position. I would prefer not but it is a strong possibility.
What should I do.

I'd interrupt her before she gets started and say "Sorry but I really do have to get on with this - I dont want to miss my deadline/get in trouble", or try to make it sound like a compliment: I know you can manage your work but I find it hard to work and talk at the same time...Could you offer to spend occasional breaks with her when she wants to talk? I know that might be hard but compared with her going on at you all day it might be a small price to pay

It's an idea. I will try to see how it goes. The other thing is that she talks to herself almost non-stop. So music in my headphone is one of the best thing. Thanks for the advice.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
