I am a first year college student, I study my best and work at school. My grades are not what I would like them to be, nor what I think I deserve. I just feel as if every night I have to study and save the world. My roommate is someone that makes me rather drill a hole in my head then live with her. I just feel like I am a bomb waiting to explode.

Can anyone help?

Well, I can relate to the stressed part. And the explotion part. After you have your explotion you will feel a little better. But to avoid it you must spend some time on yourself doing something you enjoy that makes you happy. You cannot go to school and study 7 days a week. You grades will probably improve if you do things for yourself to relax and then you do study the info will absorb better because the stress will not be in the way. As far as your roomate I cannot help you there. I have never had a roomate that made me what to drill holes in my head. Good luck :)

Roomates can be rough. Do you live in a resident hall that has Resident Advisors (RA). They might be called different things at different schools, but you should talk to them and see if maybe you can switch rooms with someone that you think you would get along better with. As for the classes thing, how many classes are you taking this semester? Maybe you have to many on your plate right now. When i was a freshmen i had 19 credits my first semester and 18 credits my second semester. This kind of burned me out esspecially since I am an Art Major and had alot of intesive projects to complete. Maybe if you talk to your counceler for your major they could help you figure things out.

I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
