Hi to all... I am new to this site and trying to figure how it works. I lost my baby 3/5/08 at just over 26 weeks. I had a boy (named Julius) and he died of a massive stroke. At the same time I developed severe pre-eclampsia and HELLP syndrome and was in critical shape myself. The recovery was long and tough, but I made it through the best I could. My doctor has been running MANY tests on both myself and my husband and while I do not have the results yet (next week), he thinks what happened to my baby is a condition called NAIT (Neonatal Alloimmune Thrombocytopenia). This is a rare condition where the mother and father are "not compatible". Apparently this is treatable with an approximate success rate of 85%. Are there any other moms out there that are familiar with this or who have experienced a similar condition? More insight is greatly appreciated.
