I've grown up playing sports and have remained active since I was young. Two years ago I injured myself in a lacrosse game and what should have been a muscle cramp in my left calf, turned out to be a hernia. I had undergone so many tests, doctors appointments, PT and for an entire year no one diagnosed me until an exploratory surgery found out that my post-anterior compartment had burst through the muscle lining. Now it's seven months after surgery, I still can't exercise or even walk without pain. I'm still in PT, still seeing doctors, still undergoing tests but it seems that I always end up hearing those same two words, "I'm sorry". I try to explain the pain but no one can really understand. I wish someone could.
