I broke/fractured my pelvis in February and started having really bad pains again, almost like it was soon after breking it. No "trauma" that i can remember except I have started working out again about 2 weeks ago. any advice?

I broke my femoral neck (hip) jogging back in December and have consistent pain 10 months later. I still work out, not as much as I would like but am curious to know if this pain will ever end! Do you have any advise as my inner/ outer hip has dull pain constantly but I can't bare not working out.

Like any bone that fractures.With time the bone heals.I do not know how your fracture occured.If the trauma was very violent (ie car crash)and the sacrum "burst"into pieces surgery was probably performed.Lets assume it wasn't.When a fracture heals it normally heals by normal intention.These means a scar forms over the fracture site.This scarring when it forms in an area where alot of motion occurs has the potential to cause restriction to form in the surronding joints.I think you should have an examination of your hips and the sacroiliac joint.Find a competent facility and have them exam your above said joints.Be very careful with participating in gym activities.If your are working out with restrictions in or around your fracture site you may be exposing your hips or lowback to dangerous stresses which can produce degenerative changes in your lowback or hips.(www.arthritisusa.net)
