my son Age 6 needs to get on a bowel prgram how well do they work? He poops more when he is active and believe me he is very active. He has had L4 spinal fusion due to an extra vertabrae growing faster than the rest. Before his surgery he was always getting constipated even with miralax, but now that back surgery is over and 6 months after his surgery I cannot get his stool to be normal it is always loose even with just a little miralax, but if I don't give it to him,he gets constipated. When he was in the hospital for back surgery they tried to do a cone enema due to he was extremly constipated, but nothing came out not even the water, then he went into respiratory arrest, due to pnemonia, so can anyone give me any input on options.
