THIS time I have quit so far for 21 days. THIS time I decided that I was the only one who controlled my own emotions. I decided to try and stay positive.
When negative thoughts enter my head I don't let them stay. I will not let small things bother me. I have had to limit the amount of politics I watch since I have quit so I don't get angry!!
Every day is a little easier.
When you are really ready you have to throw the cigarettes out. Try to stay away from smokers for a while.
Get lots of munchies to eat and think about all the positive things about being a non smoker.
If you quit now then most of your life you will really be a non smoker and healthy.
There isn't really a perfect time to quit. As a smoker I could always think of something that seemed stressful. But when I look back now there really weren't that many true stressful life events for me. I just made situations stressful that didn't really have to be.
When you are ready to quit you will be able to.
Remember that it doesn't hurt. It's just annoying. Each day will be a little easier. You will be healthier!! You will be doing something that is good for YOU! It will actually be easier to quit now in the long run. It won't be a lifelong habit to break.
Smoking will just be something for you to be depressed about in the future. You will always want to quit.
You CAN do this. Keep coming back here for support. It has helped knowing I am not going through this alone!
I hope you quit. You will really be happy you did !!
What I'm trying to say is the feeling of being healthy has overpowered the urge to smoke for me.
Best of luck to you!!!
