I wanted to share my experience with weight gain due to quitting smoking. I know most of us gain weight when we stop. One day I weighed myself and I was 10lbs heavier than what I thought I was the day before. I put a lot of sugar in my coffee not thinking it was bad. So, I got Splenda and started using that and also usually at night I eat goodies (even when I'm not hungry). So, the past 3 weeks I have had no sugar in my coffee and only eat desert when I'm really hungry (which has been maybe once a week - OH, also I bought a bag of the little candy bars and will eat one or two of those vs. home made brownies etc. It is still giving me my chocolate fix because I have to have chocolate - not giving that one up LOL) and I have lost 8.5 pounds!!!! The reason I'm sharing this is because it was only one single thing really (sugar in my coffee) that I have taken out of my diet and without exercising I have lost the weight. I never realized what it was that was assisting in putting on the pounds so if there is any one thing that you can pin-point you might want to just remove that and you might lose weight. I hope this helps someone who has gained weight too! Have a great weekend!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
My ENT sent me for more tests last week...one where they had me lie back in a chair, with blacked out goggles on so I couldn't see while they administered water into my ears one at a time ( first warm, then room-tempurature, then cold) while they video taped my eyes and asked me questions to determine how cognizant I was... This test went HORRIBLY. They were about 20 seconds or so into...
