I am at 1 month today and have been having trouble the past few days with cravings. What I am craving is the inhalation, the feeling in my lungs. i have tried deep breathing and that doesn't work. Any ideas for this weird craving????

I had this same problem- and someone recommended aromatherapy to me and it helped. Put some in a cloth and inhale it- deep breaths- especially if you use a favorite aroma- its quite nice- you could also try a nice candle- light it- look at it- inhale the sacent while you deep breath. If all else fails- I spray my fav. perfume on my pillow and lie down and relax breathing it in.

OMG, that is the part I crave too... I take a hot shower and do deep breathing in the steam and it will help somewhat...

ARGH!!! I understand completely and just crave the feel of it! Good luck in whatever you find to control it!

I totally had that too! For me, I exercised until I was panting and I don't know if it distracted me or what, but it worked! Or maybe i was just too tired to think about smoking.. LOL!

okay, someone suggested this to me the last time i tried to quit, take a straw and suck air thru it like you would have if you were inhaling smoke from a cigarette. it helped me but i like the aromatherapy a lot more.

I found exercise as my #1 crave cutter. I also always have lots of sugar free candy around. It is important to keep a good taste in your mouth as much as you can. Licorice and cinammon seem to work the best.
