It's real hard but if you want to do it you will.
I used to cave when I quit and then I'd smoke for another 2 or 3 years and try again, cave again, etc. This time, I gave in for 2 packs on my 90th day ... but then I got angry at the cigarettes instead of me. I just said, "No. I will NOT smoke. I am NOT a victim." Plus it really ticks me off to give all that tax money to a state that does nothing to help people quit smoking.
Quit again. You can do it. I will help.
Currently, I am on day 14 of my quit and the reason I am succeeding is that I am not dragging attention to the fact that I have a quit. Try not to speak about it. It only makes you want one. Just act as if you are not trying to quit smoking, but like you are a non-smoker.
I found that it was best to be as reclusive as possible in the first few days. After that it gets easier.
