i went to the doctor today for a complete physical and had a discussion about Chantix. He told me that Chantix is great for women who are trying to quit becuase women become addicted to nicatine than men. the drug stops your need for nicatine and many people quit with this aid. It works this way. Choose a quit date and start taking Chantix in the am of your quit date. you can still smoke and the drug builds up in your system with in a month. It's a gradual increase into system. the doctor recommends you stay on the drug for four months. Well, I invested to today. My insurance does not cover this drug, but i spent the money anyway. I made the decision to go on it becuase I have been using nicatine gum. I had good days and bad days. Last few days not good and I want to free from cigs and nicatine. My dr agrees with me. So here I go. I let you all know how it's going.
