As of today, April 15th.....6 years ago today, I quit my 3 pack a day for 20+ years smoking habit/addiction.
I don't have urges any more and in fact, I don't even think about smoking any more.
I went vegetarian about 7 weeks ago and drink tons of water......and meditate.
All the dumping of toxins took a toll on me and I felt worse before feeling better. I'm almost 60 years old and had abused my body
badly for years, so I guess removing toxins was quite a task for my body.
The reason I bring this up is we don't realize how bad we are treating our bodies and filling it with toxins that are slowly killing us or making us so sick that we die slowly and painfully. It is enough that our food, air, land, and water are filled with toxins......then we are given meds that are toxic (shaking fist at the pharma industry).
However, smoking is a choice that we can stop (take the government off your payroll where you can....smoking is willingly giving extra money to the government to blow foolishly and laughing at you while you take the bait).
I quit smoking (ironically on tax day) as the IRS screwed me out of 10K and refused to pay my state tax. My properties almost became levied and I spent many sleepless nights and became anxiety ridden....so I put down my cigerettes and never looked back.
The IRS finally did give me the money after a 2 year battle, but now I owed it back to them plus interest for their screw up!!!
I have found other ways to cut my taxes (legally of course) by making wiser choices in my life.
Anywho......I know this site is kinda dead so to speak, but thought I'd post a shout out of my awesome quit :)
I wish all of you the best of luck in quitting. It is very rewarding and not impossible. It take work and time, but it definately possible.
Take care ya'll.
