Hi. I am not a smoker but, my husband is. He has been smoking forever and he really wants to quit. He has tried on and off for years now. He said the patch seems to work ok but last time he used it he couldn't sleep for 2 days. He recently went to the hospital for pains in his chest (scared me to death!!). It turned out to be nothing but the doctor said that he had to quit as soon as he could. I want to help him in any way I can. I just don't understand the addiction because I never have been a smoker. If anyone has any advice on how I can be supportive or any treatment that worked for you please let me know. I told him that a suppot group might help but, I don't know if he would ever join one.
