Oh my Lord, my nose hurts so bad from the mask. They have ordered a different one for me but until I get it, I am wearing the old one. I have had my machine for less than a week but my nose is red, swollen and blistered. Any suggestions? I don't want to put anything to cushion it because I am afraid I will choke while sleeping. I was suppose to have a job interview today but cancelled it. My glasses are crooked because of the swelling. Thanks for listening.

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...

Ultra Mirage Full Face Mask
Stop the loss of air. Stop the loss of therapy.
Around 40% of CPAP users and almost all bilevel users lose treatment pressure through their mouths, either by mouth breathing or mouth leak.1-3 This pressure loss can result in flu-like symptoms, less effective therapy, and poor sleep.4 The Ultra Mirage full face mask stops this loss so you get more comfortable and effective therapy.
If you often have a stuffy nose or just want a mask that you can wear when you have allergies or a cold, the Ultra Mirage full face mask is the answer.

i had one where it was too big. people assume because i am overweight i was an adult xl but to everyones surprise when i was measured the RIGHT way, i was a child petite. the smallest one LOL.
but i havent had any pain since. the bigger mask used to give me sores on my nose
My nose doesn't get stopped up so I can't breath very well. I wish they made something to stop that.
I did contact a company that sells things to put at the back of the intake. They sent me some samples. I put the small round piece in the back and lay it on the wire. I don't put it anywhere in the machine.
I love that but I want something that works with allergies.
I have even used Vicks on my nose hoping that would work but it didn't. I did find this: http://www.cpap.com/productpage/neilmed-nasogel-tube.html

Simply place a few drops of Pur-Sleep Essential Oil on the diffusion pad and place the diffusion pad on the diffuser and set near the air-intake of your CPAP/BIPAP machine. Pur-Sleep provides a functional and practical way to experience pleasant aromatics with your CPAP equipment since manufacturers typically recommend using only distilled water in the humidifier chamber and aromatic oils could cause damage if directly applied to the equipment.
Pleasant smells induce strong feelings of calm, comfort, and relaxation. The sense of smell is part of the brain's emotional centers and cognitive distraction (the ability to exclude other distracting stimuli) is an important feature of human olfaction. Unlike the other primary senses, smell is a chemical sense. Detection of given aromatic molecules initiates a cascade of physiological and emotional responses that occur whether or not the person is conscious of the presence of any smell. Whether people consciously recognize it or not, the sense of smell works against their CPAP therapy. Research has proven that even very small amounts of plastic compounds, even below conscious detection levels, such as vinyl chloride and styrene (and others emitted by all CPAP equipment) result in high levels of stress, irritation, and anxiety.
I recieved the sample with 4 different scents and it does help
