Hi all
This is my first post to this site, i started with a cpap machine earlier this week.
To say that it is not going well is an under statement!
I understand that that it will take time to get use to the machine but i am looking for some tips.
I have been fitted with a full face mask(covers both my nose and mouth)i am finding it difficult to breath out against the air pressure, is this normal?
I also feel bloated and congested after a session on the machine. The machine has been set to a pressure level of 12, this is considerably higher than the other people i know of with this condition. I also find that my heart rate increases and i feel anxious when using the machine.
I have an appiontment with the doctor next week to discuss how things are going and was hoping to try a different mask to see if this helps.
I currently on get about 1.5 to 2 hrs with the machine before I get frustrated to the point of removing the mask.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I will look into the masks that you both have recommended.
It is great to be able to ask questions from people who are using the equipment not just selling it
Thanks again
