I am freaking out about having the mhos surgery done. It is less than a week away, and I am so damn nervous. I have not met the doctor, and have only gotten a pamphlet about what mhos is. Can anyone tell how their mhos surgery went and how bad the scaring is? Mine is on my nose and I am so scared that I will hardly have a nose left

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. He decided at the last minute that he would just cut a good margin, and that would take care of it. My scar isn't too bad, but his guess-work has come back to haunt me. With Mhos, the pathologist looks at each little slice of tissue under a microscope and when they get tissue that is cancer free, they stop.
Since my doctor decided that I didn't need mhos, I now have precancerous cells next to my scar. I've had two biopsies, and I know that I will be having more this next week when I see my current doctor.
Be thankful for the Mhos procedure, and, like my doctor told me, "You are trading your CANCER for a scar. Be thankful you can make that kind of trade"
