Hello all, The new dermatologist I last saw recommended I have 3 abnormally shaped moles removed. The results came back that they were "precancerous", meaning that if I had gone without treating them, they would have turned into cancer. The surgery costed me about $400 out of pocket, which I couldn't really afford. Should I go see another dermatologist and get an opinion? I have one aunt and one uncle that have melanoma. I just wonder if the Dermatologist's office is scaring me thinking I'll get cancer if I don't have a mole removed every 6 months. Of course I don't want cancer, but if those moles were indeed precancerous, does this mean I should go get checked out every 6 months as a precautionary measure? The last doctor's visit left me with some pretty unsightly scars.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
