Well, they were wrong. I just had a biopsy a couple of months ago (only because I insisted) and sure enough, they found precancerous cells right next to my scar. Great.
I go back in December 10th for another check, but don't know if they will do more biopsies or what. It's very depressing. I'm thinking of changing docs because I'm not feeling like my current doc is as concerned about my cancer as I am.
Skin cancer runs in my family and my mother's twin sister has been battling it for over 40 years. She is now 92 and just finished treatment on the side of her nose with the new Chemo Cream. It worked great!!!!! They were afraid to do surgery on her because of her age, but the cream took care of the problem. She really didn't complain much, but said the cream did make her spot of cancer look really bad for awhile. She was able to cover it with a band-aid when she wanted to, and she has had several clean check-ups since then.
Is the topical cream called Aldara?
I used it for a basal cell on my nose. The lesion will get nasty looking with a big scab for a while then will look great. The data for using topical aldara on superficial basal cell carcinomas is great...youll do fine
