I hope the treatment works well for you. Can you give us an update as to how your treatment is going or how it went?
I know Efudex is still popular in the UK and parts of Europe but I have not had great success using it in the past.
Thanks,
Bud
How did the treatment work out for you?
Thanks,
Debbie
Hi. I've been on Aldara since 2001. Let me know how it goes for you. What is your prescription application procedure? Mine is twice daily for a month. Rest, let it heal for a week or two, then right back at it. If there is no reaction, it is assumed to be gone. If I react, will repeat procedure. Due to the fact that your skin is semi-permeable, don't be surprised if you notice additions within a week, ask your Derm, but I usually treat them as a new occurrence and note the date of treatment etc. Pre-cancers also fall victim to Aldara. Good luck with this!

Aldara worked GREAT for me...i mean it makes the lesion crusty and angry looking for a couple weeks but my basal cell has completely resolved and there is no scar...thats a much different outcome than I would have had from a MOHS procedure...
I am more leery of using a cream to get rid of the cancer....if it was that easy....then the surgeries wouldnt be necessary....
no offense Dr....
just saw my Dermatologist here in Glendale yesterday...and had 7 more places burned off with liquid nitrogen...
I really doubt that the cream would've worked in my case....but I am glad it did for you !
I would like to hear more about the scar therapy patches. (This could be a dicussion topic)
Thanks!
