Sjogren's syndrome is an autoimmune disorder in which immune cells attack and destroy the exocrine glands that produce tears and saliva. It also associated with rheumatic disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, and it is rheumatoid factor positive in 90 percent of cases.

I have been away from DS for several months due to various family problems. Imagine my surprise to come back and see that this group has more than doubled in the time that I was gone. I'm glad to see that, and I'm looking forward to participating in discussions with you, being supportive, and having your support. :-)

Isn't it cool to see how much the community has grown? When I joined the community in August there was less than 30 members. It's now 11/5/07, and the community has grown to 49!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
