Your bipolar has had an effect on your memory, reasoning skills, word-finding, elucidation, etc.? I just picked up this book, Cognitive Dysfunction in Bipolar Disorder, and I haven't read it yet, but it's basically about how bipolar disorder can affect your brain, not just through medication side effects and things like that (although that certainly contributes). It talks about the episodes themselves having a negative effect on the brain, and how even when you return to a stable state, things like executive functioning and memory can still be disrupted. I definitely had an "ah-ha!" moment, because I feel like this is the case with me. Anyone else? Thoughts in general?
