I suddenly developed these blotches across my lower back (right side). There was a little itching, not much pain at all. I called my pcp because I've just been dx with MS and started copaxone in Jan. So I wasn't sure if I was having a reaction to the daily shots, or what. But he took one look and said "Shingles". I took a course of acyclovir, 800 mg, 5x per day for 10 days. I finished it up last Sun., 3/1. I still have the blotches, but they've gone down in size, and they still feel scabby. I'm not sure how long this is supposed to last. And everyone says how painful they are. Did I just happen to catch mine early or something? No bands, not much itching, not much pain. It ran across my right hip, from the spine, and then started down my leg. Any insight that anyone can offer, will be greatly appreciated. I'm feeling kind of beat-up since the MS dx. I've also had bronchitis since Jan. and am having a real hard time getting rid of it. Can't wait for spring. Life will be better in spring.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
