I have a question. My grandaughter is 2 She came over & I wanted to take her temp so I tried to take off 1 arm of her shirt she started to cry. I put this sticker device which stays on under the arm & keeps temp for 48 hours. I gave her ice cream & she spilled it so i wanted to wash her clothes again she cried I put her robe on & wanted to check her temp under her arm and she cried &said no i'm naked I went to change her diaper she was red swollen & a red alomost like welt was on her outer labia (outer lip), is this a sign of sexual abuse? While I was changing her diaper, she had her head turned to one side and alomost looked scared, she has never reacted this way before.
There are other reasons for my concerns, she is two short of being up to date on her immunizations and I was toe only one who notticed hat whe has a lazy eye. Her mother was fine with waiting until april to be seen but my son stepped up and got an appointement in 2 weeks. My granaughter is in the "welfare" system and I am strugglin with call child protective services, when I don't follow my gut instinct I usually regret it. I only want what is best for my grand daughter and me and her nmother are not on spekngs=terms.any input would be very helpful. The last thing i want to do is hurt my grandaughter.. Thank you all. I come from a violent alcoholic background, my dad to be percise, then I went and married the excct image of my Father and I don't want my grand daughter to be hutt. I want the cycle to sop.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. You know your child best follow you instincts.
I wish you the very best.
I hate people that does this to kids. I just hate them. this hits to close to home.
You have made him take notice and get someone to at least examine your grand daughter,I hope that your gut is wrong.
It is better to have her safe than to be abused.
And your son said "he'd be mad at you." What the hell? You've got his daughter's best interest, health and safety in mind!!!
Do what you think is best.
