I wonder if it has been ever done or a even possible to take a monitary restitution. I often think how much my ex wife's father stole from my happiness. My ex and I struggle today and we often talk about how unfair he is living high on the hog and were left in this struggle in the wake of his distruction. Mainly our two girls are the ones who have been stolen from with their parents ship wrecked. There is a lot to my story and it can be read but the real question is why should he get to be happy and wealthy. When he ruined our lives? I just want to make him have to work hard much longer and repay his sins that way since we had to clean up his mess?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I have thought about doing that myself, but my Mom is still married to the A-Hole Step-Father Abuser...and as long as she gives me money when I need it, I am OK with it, but really deserve a heck of a lot more.
Check into suing civilly...
You may end up with the perp being sentenced to pay restitution but that's not to say that the amount of restitution or the frequency of it will meet your desired expectations due to their own financial state (which is taken into consideration at the sentencing).
You may also end up with nothing from the perp but still have to pay out the legal costs (realistically the only one that wins is the lawyer...that was actually quoted to me by a lawyer by the way)
The reality of it all (unfortunately) is that the money you might gain cannot pay for all the things that were broken or taken.....you can't buy back your childhood nor will it buyout the unresolved issues that you may still have.
Your best bet is to seek legal advice on the matter as legislation often differs in different countries or states
