your profile says you are 16. are we talking college or high school. the first part of my comment was for college. if you are referring to high school it would be a mistake to drop out under any circumstances.
My education was delayed 20 years because of the abuse. my lack of education had held me back and was another victory for the abusers. I can't emphisis enough that there are a hundred reasons to stay in school and graduate. And it sounds like the abuse is the only thing holding you back.
there are a lot of ways of looking at this. if you need time to take care of yourself, then i say do it. But don't loose sight of getting an education. make it your second priority beyond the counseling and maybe you can think of counseling simple as a prerequisite for being successfull in school.
