it's difficult for others to come to terms with a sexual act against someone they love and care about. They probably either 1) don't want to talk about it because it's too painful for them, 2) don't want to talk about because they don't want to upset you or 3) some combination of above. I doubt they've forgotten it.

You know what? People who never been though things find it hard to to understand what they never been through. I think you should take all the time you need to heal. I hope you are going to a therapist. I hate talking about what happened to me but it helps. I also journal here and that helps me to get things out. I cry when I go to the therapist and when I journal. MY therapist told me it's ok to cry.
Some people don't want to talk about things because it hurts. or don't want to upset you. Others might not know how to bring it up to you.

Have you brought it up or are you waiting for them to bring it up? If you don't bring it up, I think a lot of people won't talk about it cause they're uncomfortable or don't know if you want to talk about it. But the fact they're uncomfortable doesn't have anything to do with you it's their own problem and there should be someone you feel like you can talk to about anything but not everyone has that.
