In answer to your question, I hard one i might add but a good one. I know it is hard to accept that god does let a lot of bad happen. But he also lets alot of good happen. I have accepted the fact that god is a part of my life but does not interfer. I believe he gave us this life to do as we will, good, bad or indifferent. I believe there are times he interviens but these times are the exceptions to the rule.
I believe we are here to evolve our spiritual life and strength based on what god has already laid out for us. I believe if we follow a righteous life and not blame god for all the bad that happens then I have done all that i can.
I think or spiritual evolution evolves based on our trials and how we handle them. I believe that it is up to us both indivually and as a society to evolve and whether god is a part of that or not is up to the indivual.
I have had the fortunate experience of loving god for what he has given me and not ask god for anything. I do not believe god has gender for what it is worth.
I know beyone any doubt the i have been given a gift of faith and thru that faith I was given the tools to deal with this ordeal and gave me the grace to accept the humility I have been taught. Meaning, humility in the sense of realizing i am not perfect and i am volunerable.
I don't believe god lets anything happen in the sense that he wants it to happen. I believe he gaves us free will so we could make the choice to believe or not believe. god gave us this world to do with as we wish. the rest is up to us.
As far as on going healing. I am no holy roller, i pray especially when i am destresses. During my meditative prayer i do not ask for anything i just want to feel the love of god and his presents. That always comforts me and gives me strength.
thank you for the question and i hope this is a little clearer for you.
I try to maintain a personal relationship with god.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
i'd like to believe in something, but every time i think about what happen...how can a LOVING, CARING God let this happen to me?? i went to church with my family, i said prayers before eating and before i went to sleep...
i even gave some of my allowance money to the church! and that was the hardest thing for me to do (since i liked to save for "just in case")...
i just don't understand how God could let these things happen.
i've already heard about the whole "if there was no bad things in the world..."...i'm not saying that God should get rid of all the bad...but if he were real, he'd take care of his faithful followers...or at least TRY to keep them out of harm's way...
Kia Kaha people/have strength.
One step at a time.
