He told me this morning that he started Recovery Nation, an online SA program. Will this really help him? There are no people that he meets with face-to-face, no meetings with a counselor, no accountability.
A little about my SA; he's 51, been watching and/or viewing porn since age 19, chatted, emailed with women on line, whether it be in chat rooms or dating sites. He had one of these women go to work for him for a few months this year but swears they never screwed each other. I just can't believe that one. I found out about all of this almost 2 years ago, confronted him and he said he stopped on more than a few occasions, but always go back to it.
He seems so relieved and happy today. Is this because he's finally decided to begin this program or because he believes I won't leave him?
I'm a little confused-how much do I believe him? I'm so skeptical because of all the distrust I have in this relationship.
Has anyone else gone thru this? Any discussion on this topic would be very much appreciated.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
On the other hand, if he can make the conscious decision to work on the problem, the program isn't always necessary. It is all in how willing he is to work on himself and how devoted he is to recovering from this.
I'll just take it day by day and pray for the best outcome.
Also, you know that Dianne can help some, so get in touch with her.
I am currently in active recovery on RN, and my wife is on there as well, on the Partners side.
I can tell you this, when I first went to RN, I went there because of my wife, not to recover, and if you do that, your just lying to yourself to protect the addiction.
Once I started the program for me, and only me, it sheds a light on things you never knew before, or you did, but just didn't want to admit to them.
Jon is an excellent motivational person and an exceptional coach there.
The both of you should look into the site, for the Workshop. You won't be disappointed.
