I have had this question for quite sometime, and in someways it has been my downfall. I know what the obvious things are, but what is pornography, when is the line, how far is too far? What about tv shows like "Deal or no Deal" are the girls on that show pornographicly dressed? or is pornography strictly nudity and sexual acts? Let me know what you think.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I think NoOne said it well. I just want to add something. You are in a community that has very rigid rules about life. I do not judge any of that. You must be who YOU are. You are still young but growing up. You must decide for yourself what you believe in. If LDS is your true personal faith, then a lot of what is out in our culture is not "OK".
But you know what? You are human and I invite you to think about what you want and need as a person. I am female and for me, porn is something I do not advocate. If it was real people doing real things I would think some more about it. But it is not. It is all but drawn, it is fake and the worst part of it, is that young men usually, come to think that women look like that, act like that and are like that. And like you men, we are just regular people. When non porn women lay down their breasts are pointing to the ceiling. When real women are touched, they react in very unique ways. And when all of it is done in the context of a caring relationship, well, then THAT is something.
But you miss So much in life if you don't get to know a real woman. Her ok normal body, her normal responses and her real life issues.
I am going to tell you that I believe you need to come to terms with your faith first. Then once you do that, the rest will fall into place. But think about porn as a drug, it is a drug.

if it is not "sexy" it does not sell
it's a vicious cycle. I did not have tv for a good 10 yrs
it has done wonders for me in connecting with what i find as attractive physicall in another person with out bias. pornography doesn't do much for me...and neither do any of the shows on tv [in this regaurd]. but i would still classify some of it as soft porn.
i am consistantly having to ask opinions on how to make things stimulating to the general public, bcause if i don't...people don't want to hear it or see it. it sucks and i don't like it, because i still value things that are not with in that norm.
i'm just hopeing this explanation is somehow helpful,... i felt the need to try and explain what i can from the comercial world.
It's all in how you view it, and for what purpose. The moment you begin to objectify what you are looking at as sexual, it becomes pornography.
Pornography is anything that depraves or corrupts usually linked to sex but not always, I find violence pornographic murder torture and some horror.
Deprave and corrupt is defined in law ( I am a Lawyer) as to alter permamnently for the worse..
My own view is that obessessive use of porn/erotic material can be problematical. But so can obesssive behaviour and reactions to porn/erotcism. Withc hunts and over reaction is high in Moslem countries where for example homosexuality is punishable by death by beheading.
Lets keep everything in perspective and concentrate or torture violent and child porn and make that history.
