Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
Recognize when the urge comes that it is the CMD: "Critical Moment of Decision". A split second time when you choose what you will do. It won't just take a minute because you know from experience that you've lost hours of your life.
Open all the blinds and let the light (and possibly neighbor's eyes) in. Can't do it then. Get outside and enjoy the world you have been missing.
Being accountable to yourself doesn't really work since you will rationalize your behavior to yourself. One option is to be accountable to Jesus through regular prayer (I know that sounds weird if you've never witnessed his work first-hand in your life).
Over masterbation also causes chronic fatigue (tired all the time), testicular pain and HAIR LOSS.
That's motivation. I don't want to be bald either!
I just want you to know, don't ever be ashamed to post here, as we understand.
Send me a pm if you wish to. I'd be glad to discuss anything with you. I rarely talk to men, but I feel you and I could relate to one another.
Anyways, take care and God bless you.
Any peer-reviewed scientific cites for that statement? No offence, but that sounds like the old 'don't do it, you'll go blind' religious arguement.
First, I did not come here to judge anyone. I came here to communicate with others who have had the same problem, whether they be past or present problems.
You will see me mention things that helped me kick the addiction, just in case it may help others in the same way it helped me.

Yes, that site does sell a supplement, but that does not invalidate the factual scientific data they present.
I am very cynical and analytical- it took this factual scientific data (in addition to accountability) to give me the final motivation to take control and release myself from a bondage I chose... like the the Rush song, Freewill: " If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice"!
I know his struggle and I understand bi sexual not from him but from my husband.
Occasionally it re-emerges and becomes a struggle for a time, until I exterminate it yet again- so I'd like to see your tips from a religious perspective.
thanks
