hi im new to a support group of this such...i have been "Addicted" to pornography/masturbation for some time when i stumbled upon it in late elementary school...while i dont do it on a daily basis, weekly, or even monthly basis...it comes in spells of every few months lasting for a few days...i have obstained for good periods of times..yet to fall again...i have tried a few purity lessons online..but never really stuck to it..but im determined now more than ever to NOT DO IT ...i feel now that this is beginning to effect my walk with God..as I am a virgin and have never have sex but am falling in this category ...i want to be totally sexually pure in all areas...as well as mentally...looking for advice and support. thx. I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
You should check out recoverynation.com, they have a free workshops that could be beneficial to you. There's other good resources as well, try looking under the recommendations.
I also recommend checking out local SAA meetings (kind of like Alcoholics Anonymous but for sex addicts) and seeing if it will help being in an in-person meeting. The support at meetings is phenomenal. I'll tell you, with many years battling my own love and sex addiction, the support at meetings (and also on this site) are really helpful and have the power to help me get through another hour, day, week, whatever. Your realtionship with God is also a really positive thing. Keep your chin up, sister!
There is a Christian site called Higher-Calling.com that may be very helpful to you. I am a member there, and we have many women who are also battling with pornography and other sex addiction issues. Check it out if you are interested.

Some people say that the attraction to porn comes when other problems arise and that is a way of coping with the problem, to lose yourself in porn.
Maybe if this is the case with you, you could try to identify some different ways of coping with rough spots in your life.
