My 9 month old daughter is deaf, (severe to profound hearing loss). I was just curios if anyone knew of any good ways to stimulate any of her other senses? don't get me wrong she is a very happy baby right now. She has three older sisters that love her along with her parents. It is just very diffcult not knowing how her life is going to be once she gets older, there aren't many support groups in the town that I'm in. She can hear if you yell with her hearing aid in but we still have a long road ahead of us in the future, when she is 4 or 5 she will need surgery to open her left ear becouse it is closed, no ear canal. My own children can be so crule to me. They are 10, 8, and 4. I have more problems with the 10 and 8 year olds then the 4 year old. is there any advise you can give me? I am involved with childrens hospital and childrens village already in my area!!

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
