I've been fighting to not cut for years and years, but despite it all, I still have a hard time with it especially recently. I have no medical coverage, so I'm trying to find ways to stop on my own. What is a good method of treatment I can try? I've tried rubber bands, but it doesn't seem to be working well enough. Any ideas/suggestions?

Distgraction usually works for me and I stress usually. I'm a HUGE Movie TV buff and can quite easily lose myself in a movie that I love so I would normally do that, stick in a season of a TV show I havnt watched in ages or a decent scary, gory movie (my favourites) to try and help take my mind off it.

Hi, I'm biplar,ocd,add,si and flight or fight anxiety. I've suffer with si for years....I'm also a compulsive picker which keeps me from si...but I think of si daily. My shrink has told me about the rubberbands.....they work a bit but she told me to put ice cubes on my wrist as long as I could stand it.....suppose to really hurt....so I will give it a try.....let me know if it helps you.....take care

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
