I started hurting myself when i was in elementary school. I switched to cutting in middle school when the doctors started noticing the patter of broken bones and suspected my parents of abuse. SInce i switched to cutting, it has been a constant struggle. I am 24 now, so it has been so many years. I have periods of time where i get better and don't struggle so much, but i am back in a bad time now. I cut in places covered by clothing for the most part, but my boyfriend knows about it and is getting so upset every time he sees new cuts. I feel like i will never be done with this and am starting to wonder if it is all even worth it. Why keep trying if it will never get better...
