Hi, My names Ashley. I just got the courage to join the group and admit to myself that i have a problem again. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on how to avoid cutting myself. I have tried using a rubberband and it is kinda helpfull, but i can't wear it all the time. I have also tried writing, this helps sometimes but not always. And Finally I have tried counceling but she just didn't seem to care and just wanted to put me on all kinds of meds which i hate taking meds. I am an EMT in a large city and see a lot of death and find myself in a lot of stressfull situations. I've been finding myself having lots of impulses to cut myself again. Please Help.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse.
