Sorry guys, but I have to vent about something. Everyone is always telling us we have to get help, that's the only way to get better, don't hurt yourself, people care, and blah blah blah. I referred a student yesterday who was ODing on his psych meds. Got a call from his councelor saying he just can't seem to stop involving other people in his problems, can he? arrrgggg... yeah so maybe he's done it before. no excuse for this reaction. how can this guy possibly help him if he thinks he's just playing people?
soooo frustrated..........

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Remind him that his job is not to worry about who the student is "involving" but to be more concerned that this student continues to reach out.
You are doing the best you can MarSR, and that is truly all we can do. I hope your student gets well.
