Self-Injury Support Group
Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.
Sweety, I have had a day from hell, almost fired from my job, had to see a guy that i would rather stab than stab myself, moving to a place i dont want to move.. trust me, im here with you! Lets just keep busy and not go that route.
If you want to mail me.. im here.
If not please write here about anything and waste minutes till the erge passes.
Let me know if that helps. What do you do when you get these urges, how do you fight it back?
Stephen
I've been in recovery three years now [well, three years as of december 23rd]
I still have the marks to prove the addiction and while they may be triggering, they might also deter you from damaging yourself the way I have.
Let my know if you ever need to talk.
and i agree with kari27. some videos on youtube are suppose to help us out can be triggering.. for once one video that a kid made to help spread self-harm awareness made me triggered and that rarely happened.. i'm got not going to say what he hade in it because i don't want to triggere anyone but if you want to know what was in it, just send me a message.. but i have made 2 self-harm wareness slideshows and the only thing that can be triggereing about it is about 3 pics that show some people's scars
