Scoliosis affects all ages. Unlike the naturally occurring curves in the spine, scoliosis causes the spine to curve abnormally to the left or right.

There is a life long story behind this and if anyone is interested I will be happy to explain but just to make a long story short for now, I had spinal fusion surgery to cure my severe 90 curvature in my spine I had minimal Scoliosis but my spine was actually twisted and it is congential. I was diagnosed with Shuermann's Disease when I was 14 years old officially and spent the next 4 years in braces (including the Milwakee Brace which was pure torture) I spent my day 23 hours a day in braces. I was wondering if anyone else here suffers from this very rare disorder??? I have only heard of a few people who have been diagnosed and I think that is why it has made it so hard to deal with the illness. thank you for listening!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
wow you had a big curve too.
