Scoliosis affects all ages. Unlike the naturally occurring curves in the spine, scoliosis causes the spine to curve abnormally to the left or right.

Hello, I have scoliosis, I can't remember how long I've had it, I knew it I did, but only recently had the xray done and formally diagnosed with scoliosis and kyphosis, in the lower spine. Doc said it was a curve and a twist. I was wondering if anyone else has back pain if they try to stand up straight. I tried to stand straight when I was walking, or just standing around, and it just gives me more back pain. Should I try to stand up straight, or is it impossible to do with scoliosis? Thanks

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
When I would go for tests*like X-rays,or MRI's)and they would try to push my hips one way and my middle back the other way.(oh,the pain they caused me).
Just glad too find people who understand whats going on with me.
