Hello,
I am new here I hope someone out there can answer my question. I was diagnosed with lupus due to history of joint inflammation and now blood clots in lung, but I have a white spot on the tip of my thumb that is hard with a little bump, It is painful, not like a callous, too small and not raised enough like a wart. It is getting bigger and more painful everyday. I think it maybe a calinosis or a ulceration. I have no money for a copay for a doctor. Anyone have home rememdy or idea? Thanks Judy

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
My impression is that it's possible that other antibody's from other concurrent autoimmune diseases can mask the anticentromere pattern. So I don't think the anticentromere B antibody test is done nearly as often as it should be, particularly since it is not part of the usual ENA testing panel.
My suggestion: insist on this test, or change doctors, and find someone who will do it. It took 24 years of autoimmune symptoms before I got diagnosed! I should have stood up for myself long ago!
It does turn out that I have the DQ8 gene (DQB1*0302), which can cause multiple autoimmune diseases. I also have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and probable Sjogren's.
