I'm going to a spine specialist in the morning to see if he thinks I need surgery. My understanding is they remove part of the disc thats pushing on the nerves and causing pain/numbness. I was wondering if anyone has any advise, pros/cons on the subject. Or even somethings I should be aware of or questions I should ask. Maybe even some better alternatives? I've never had any kind of surgery, I'm aliitle scared that this is what it's going to come down to. I;ve also been told that this type of surgery isn't a catch-all,, and I might not get better.
