I have been having terrible pain in my hip which travels down my leg. It is the left side only. It is right in the middle of the hip, sort of to the side. My thighs ache very badly at night but so do the under muscles of my calves. My internist thinks it is sciatica but the Xrays they did show mild sciolosis of L2 and slight narrowing of L5 and S1. I went to a chiropractic clinic and they think that I have pulled the gluteus medius muscle only. They told me that my neuro checks were OK. The only problem is that I am walking with a cane and if I walk any distance without it or for any length of time- at night I am in terrible pain and it is right over the area where the sciatic nerve is. Also it is chronic and I think muscle injuries should heal sooner. I am taking Naprosyn in big doses per my MD and Tyl #3 plus an extra 15 mg (i am upping it to Tyl # 4). The pain is incredible. My question is do any of you think that you can have sciatica without necessarily having the numbness and neuro signs that are typical. Have you experienced muscle pain as well? It is hard to diagnose since the nerve is right next to that muscle and they are not sure if it is the muscle or the sciatica. It is really awful. Please any help would be wonderful. Thanks

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
